This kitchen is in a 4-5 year old home. The new homeowner had previously replaced the countertops with granite and had the island countertop extended to create a breakfast bar. She was not happy with the natural maple color or door style of the existing cabinets and wanted something more formal.
Signature Woodcrafters recrafted the cabinets with full-overlay raised-panel doors in medium-tone maple with black glazing. To the tops of the cabinets, we added tall crown molding with a black rope inset to coordinate with the glazing. The homeowner also replaced her stainless refrigerator with a new black refrigerator to which custom raised panels were attached to match the cabinetry. All exposed cabinet ends were also covered with raised panels, adding to the overall finished look.
The new island area was finished with matching solid raised panels on the sides and beaded paneling and corbels on the back, creating a finished furniture look.
