The original kitchen included oak cabinets that had been stained by the homeowner, laminate "wood" countertops, and an over-mount sink. For this new re-crafting project, the homeowner chose Full-Overlay Flat-Panel doors and drawer fronts in Cherry with a Fruitwood Stain. The old drawer boxes were replaced with new solid hardwood drawer boxes with continuous dove-tail joints.
Solid granite countertops in the Juparana Persa color were chosen to replace the laminate, along with a stainless steel undermount sink. New hardware was also supplied. Installation of the job took 2 days.
Often, the original layout of a kitchen can present major design flaws which need to be addressed. In this case, one of the original drawers in the L-shaped cabinet ran into a stove handle, making the drawer practically unusable. Signature WoodCrafters devised a unique and highly innovative solution to the problem. Take a look at the slide show to see what happened!
