The homeowners wanted to update the fourteen-year-old pickled maple cabinets as well as change a knee wall into a piece of custom built-in cabinetry. The new kitchen cabinets on the outside perimeter, including the refrigerator, were recrafted in Classic II Natural Maple with a black glaze and topped with crown moulding. The island cabinets were recrafted in Classic II Ebony Maple. New Granite countertops were added to complete the sleek new look.
The entire project took less than a week to install.
This is a good example of what might be called a "hybrid" remodeling job. The existing cabinets that needed no reconfiguration were re-crafted with all hardwood parts, and the new parts (eg, the refrigerator cabinet and the new built-in cabinetry) were custom-built in our Pennsylvania manufacturing facility. All components were made at the same time, thus everything matched perfectly.
