This was the first kitchen that we recrafted. The original kitchen was 14 years old with standard flat panel oak cabinets, white laminate countertops, a drop-in sink. The layout of the kitchen remained the same, with the only additional change coming in the form of a new built-in cabinetry piece where a butler's rack had existed before. The cabinet selection was a Classic II Raised Panel Natural Maple door style with a brown glaze. Crown moulding with a bead detail. Decorative raised end panels were also applied to exposed ends. The Granite chosen was Baltic Brown. The drawer boxes were also replaced with a solid hardwood continuous dove-tail undermount Blum-Motion box.
In the ReCrafting process, all doors and drawer fronts are replaced and the exterior face frames are covered with a 1/4" detailed molding. The interior face frame is covered with a veneer laminate tape that matches the new doors and drawers. All the doors, drawers, & frame materials are made of solid hardwood.

This kitchen is a 4-5 year old home. The new homeowner had already replaced their countertops with granite tops, and had a carpenter extend the island so that the countertop would be deeper. They were not happy with the natural maple color or door style of the existing kitchen and wanted something more formal. We recrafted in a full overlay medium tone maple raised panel door with a black glazing. We added tall crown molding and used a black rope inset to coordinate with the glazing. The homeowner also replaced their stainless refrigerator with a new black refrigerator which accepted custom appliance panels to match the cabinetry. The new island area was wrapped in solid raised panel wainscoting on the sides, beaded panel and corbels on the back to create a more furniture finish. All exposed cabinet ends received a raised panel side, also adding to the overall finished look.
